# Career Opportunity: Become the Next SHE Officer at PT. Pabrik Kertas Indonesia (Pakerin)
Stepping into a dynamic career with an industry giant is a transformative milestone for any dedicated safety professional. PT. Pabrik Kertas Indonesia, widely recognized as PT. Pakerin, has solidified its position as a powerhouse in industrial paper manufacturing since kicking off commercial production in 1980. Headquartered in Surabaya and operating out of a sprawling facility in Mojokerto, the company scaled its production capacity from a modest 15,000 tons per year to an impressive 700,000 tons. Driven by advanced manufacturing techniques, strict cost efficiency, and a vertically integrated production model—generating its own pulp, steam, electricity, and raw water—Pakerin continues to meet surging market demands for top-tier industrial packaging materials like Kraft liner, duplex boards, and corrugated mediums.
