BULL is actively seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join the team in Jakarta. This role sits at the heart of daily maritime logistics, ensuring seamless vessel operations from port entry to departure.
Key Requirements
To qualify for this exciting position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any major, though graduates from maritime schools are strongly preferred.
* Experience: Open to fresh graduates up to 2 years of professional experience in the shipping sector.
* Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written English to facilitate international and domestic communication.
* Core Competencies: Comprehensive understanding of shipping operations, customs procedures, export and import workflows, agency management, and general computer literacy.
Primary Responsibilities
As an Operation Staff member specializing in Shipping Agency, your daily duties will involve a high level of coordination and strategic planning:
* Operational Planning: Formulate comprehensive operational arrangements for assigned vessel calls, aligning closely with strict vessel schedules and operational needs.
* Vessel Tracking: Closely monitor vessel movements and on-site activities continuously, starting from the pre-arrival phase all the way through to final sailing.
* Follow-Up Management: Ensure the timely completion of all required operational arrangements and maintain proactive follow-ups with relevant stakeholders.
* Instruction Handling: Receive and process vessel appointments, Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) details, and operational directives directly from principals and general agents.
* Information Coordination: Bridge communication gaps by coordinating necessary vessel data and paperwork among principals, clients, and associated parties.
* Port Scheduling: Manage vessel arrival notifications and coordinate berthing schedules smoothly with the relevant authorities.
* Port Services Allocation: Arrange essential port services, including pilots, tugboats, mooring gangs, and other vessel-related necessities.
* Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and submit mandatory pre-arrival documentation to the appropriate governing bodies on time.
* Clearance Coordination: Oversee smooth vessel in-clearance procedures involving CIQP (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Port Health), local port authorities, independent surveyors, and other involved agencies.
* Cargo Operations Oversight: Monitor ongoing vessel loading and discharging operations while maintaining constant communication with key personnel.
