## Job Vacancy: Junior Mine Geologist
We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our site-based operations as a Junior Mine Geologist. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining operational excellence, safety compliance, and production targets.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
To ensure seamless operations and uphold our commitment to excellence, the Junior Mine Geologist will be entrusted with the following core duties:
* Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Drive personal HSE performance while actively contributing to high safety standards across all project sites. Participate in monthly safety meetings and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including isolation and tag-out procedures, safe work permits, hot work permits, and Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA).
* Incident Management and Training: Facilitate high-standard incident and accident investigations. Verify that all team members complete mandatory safety training while identifying and addressing any additional safety training requirements.
* Operational Geology and QA/QC: Supervise grade control drilling programs, blast hole monitoring, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) for sampling and assaying. Conduct comprehensive pit mapping during ore spotting or at the kickoff of new drilling campaigns.
* Ore Control and Production: Oversee ore excavation processes in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Minimize dilution through rigorous monitoring and compile weekly ore inspection reviews. Coordinate daily with the mine production team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets, while preparing weekly drilling reviews.
* Data Management: Assist the Database Geologist in managing daily operational data, including drilling records, production logs, and Fleet Management Systems (FMS), alongside executing other assigned geological duties.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this exciting onsite opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
* Professional Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of practical experience in mining geology, with a strong focus on grade control and active mine operations.
* Language Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Indonesian and English.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with 3D geological modeling software (such as Surpac or equivalent industry tools).
* Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of mining safety operational standards, including HSE procedures, JSEA, and Work Permit Systems.
* Analytical Competency: Strong geological data analysis capabilities, high attention to detail, and a solid grasp of QA/QC sampling and assaying protocols.
* Work Style and Availability: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong leadership potential and willingness to work at site-based operational areas under a rotational roster system.
* Preferred Qualifications: Holding a valid driver’s license (SIM A or SIM B) and a First Operational Supervisor Certification (Sertifikasi Pengawas Operasional Pertama - POP) will be considered a distinct advantage. High awareness of corporate safety and environmental preservation standards is a must.
