## Recruitment Process and Application Procedures
Candidates interested in pursuing a career at UMS must complete the online application process. Once submitted, applications will undergo an administrative review. Candidates who successfully pass the initial screening will be invited for a selection process, which includes a computer-based English Proficiency Test and an Academic Potential Test (TPA).
* Test Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 11:00 AM WIB.
* Venue: BP-SDM Unit Office, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta.
* Important Note: Candidates must arrive on time; tests have a 3-hour duration, and late arrivals or those outside the designated schedule cannot be accommodated.
* Exemptions: Candidates who possess valid, ministry-recognized TKBI and TKDA certificates may be exempt from the internal testing requirement.
## General Qualifications for Faculty Positions
To ensure the highest standard of instruction, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
* Citizenship & Faith: Must be an Indonesian citizen and a follower of the Islamic faith.
* Age Limits: Maximum 30 years for Master’s (S2) graduates, and maximum 40 years for Doctoral (S3) graduates or Medical Specialists.
* Background: Must have a clean criminal record (verified by an SKCK).
* Academic Requirements:
* Master’s/Specialist I: Minimum GPA of 3.50 (scale 4.0) with a maximum study duration of 3 years. Undergraduate GPA must be at least 3.25 (scale 4.0).
* Doctoral/Specialist II: Minimum Master’s GPA of 3.50 and Undergraduate GPA of 3.25. Candidates must have publications in reputable international journals.
* Language Proficiency: A minimum TOEFL ITP score of 525, IELTS 5.5, or equivalent.
* Health Standards: Must be physically and mentally fit and drug-free (confirmed by official government hospital certificates during the final hiring phase).
* Professional Status: Must not be currently bound by employment contracts or serving as permanent/contract staff at other institutions.

Social Sciences and Humanities
* Management: Doctoral (S3) graduates in Management.
* Law: Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) graduates with expertise in Civil Law and International Law.
* Psychology: Minimum Master’s degree (S2), with preference for Doctoral (S3) and Industrial/Organizational Psychology professionals.
* Geography: Doctoral (S3) graduates, preferably in Human Geography with international publication experience.
* Communication Science: Doctoral (S3) graduates with a strong portfolio in research and communication studies.
Engineering and Technology
* Civil Engineering: Focus on Structure and Hydro disciplines.
* Mechanical Engineering: Focus on Material Science, Manufacturing, Thermal Engineering, and Fluid Engineering.
* Industrial Engineering: Doctoral (S3) graduates; preference given to male candidates with expertise in Manufacturing and ICT.
* Software Engineering: Focus on IoT, Machine Learning/AI integration, and network security.
* Digital Business: Expertise in Digital Marketing, Fintech, or Digital Entrepreneurship.
* Information Systems: Specializations in Data Science, Strategic IT Management, and Enterprise Architecture.
Islamic Studies and Health Sciences
* Islamic Religious Education (PAI): Requires Doctoral/PhD status, proficiency in English and Arabic, and a minimum memorization of 5 Juz of the Al-Qur'an.
* Science of the Qur’an and Tafsir: Requires doctoral expertise and proficiency in traditional Islamic scholarship, with a priority for Hafidz (20 Juz).
* Syariah Economic Law: Doctoral degree with a focus on Islamic Business Law and strong research backgrounds.
